The “National Day of Giving” was established to encourage communities, businesses, and families to coordinate to “give thanks by giving” to local charities which work year-round to address and solve problems in our community.
Checks must be written payable to Punxsutawney Area Community Foundation, Inc., dated for November 29, 2022, and CEF must be written in the memo line (to designate which organization you have made your donation to). Checks can be mailed to PXYCF and will be counted toward a nonprofits donation as long as the envelope is postmarked on or before the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, November 29. Mailed donations should be addressed to PXYCF, PO Box 663, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
Donations can be dropped off on the Day of Giving (Tuesday, November 29) at the Punxsutawney Memorial Library, located at 301 East Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Please remember to write your check payable to Punxsutawney Area Community Foundation, Inc., and write CEF on your check memo line. Cash donations will also be accepted that day. NOTE: Funds raised by local charities will have a percentage of their funds matched by pooled funds proportional to the amount the charity mobilizes. Participating non-profits will receive 100% of the donated amount with the allocated percentage of match monies.
